KAY MARTIN & HER BODY
GUARDS
Kay Martin was known as a burlesque dancer and Las Vegas showroom
entertainer along with her "Body Guards":
husband & bassist Jess
Hotchkiss,
Bill Elliot (keyboards), and Don Miller (drums).
Original albums "At Las Vegas" and
"At The Lorelei" contain mostly the same tracks
with some alternate titles of the same songs, oddly enough.
Including a few rare tracks issued only on 45, we have compiled
all of Kay & the Body Guards' studio recordings beyond the live comedy
routines.

"I Know What He Wants For
Christmas...But I Don't Know How To Wrap It"
originally released in late 1962 on the FAX records label.

This often bootlegged and unauthorized release has become a fairly
high priced album. You won't get better sound quality than this release.
The album's B-side had some unfortunately flat on-stage comedic routines,
so we've just included the Christmas songs...
and they are filled with clever & risqué innuendos but nothing too naughty
compared to today's "anything goes" standards.
...and, that cover girl!? Va-va-voom.
After much research we found out that Jean Jani had appeared in Playboy
and other mens magazines, and in fact this shot was re-used
from an "Adam Bedside Reader" magazine cover from 1959.
